"Russia does not stop shelling Ukraine, terrorizing our regions, peaceful cities and communities. Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers have been firing artillery, drones and UAVs in Donetsk, where a drone strike claimed one life, Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kherson, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, - Zelensky noted. - "Last night there was a combined massive strike on Odesa. Missiles and drones were used. Residential buildings, a heating main, an educational institution, and a church were damaged. The port area was also hit. Unfortunately, one person died because of this terror. Ten other people were injured, including two children.
He emphasized that everyone who needs it is being helped. "I am grateful to each and every person who is involved in the rescue of our people and elimination of the consequences," the President said.
"We are constantly defending ourselves against such Russian attacks and we constantly need effective protection against this terror. We constantly repeat that Ukraine needs air defense systems, the ability to destroy instruments of terror on enemy territory, defense packages, and sanctions pressure on Russia," Zelenskyy emphasized.
