Vilnius approved the restriction of Russians and Belarusians in the number of trips from the Republic of Lithuania to their home country

Lithuanian Committee on National Security and Defense approved the proposal to limit the trips of Russian and Belarusian citizens to their home country to once every three months, otherwise they risk losing their residence permits.
The Committee on National Security and Defense of Lithuania (KNBO) approved the Seimas proposal to limit the number of trips home for citizens of Russia and Belarus. If the document comes into effect, citizens of rb and rf will be able to leave no more than once every three months, or will be deprived of their residence permit (residence permit), UNN citing Delfi.

The Lithuanian Seimas Committee proposed to limit the number of trips of Russians and Belarusians to their native countries to once every three months. The corresponding amendment was approved by the Committee on National Security and Defense (CNSD). The key reason is that Russians and Belarusians in their home countries may be "recruited and required to perform certain intelligence functions.
A temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania issued to citizens of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus shall be revoked if it is established that they have traveled to the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus more than once in the last three calendar months and thus pose a threat to the security of Lithuania
In case of non-compliance, the issue of deprivation of residence permit will be considered. However, the document has not yet entered into force.
At last week's NSCC meeting, where this topic was also discussed, representatives of the Department of State Security proposed limiting the number of home visits by representatives of these countries to one per year.
