According to Russian media, the American delegation has already left the Russian consulate general in the Turkish capital after the completion of negotiations. The meeting was held in a closed format.
What is known about the negotiations
Earlier, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, Alexander Darchiev, said that the Russian side intends to raise the issue of restoring direct air service during the meeting with the American delegation in Istanbul. Russia also planned to raise the issue of returning the seized diplomatic property to it.
For its part, the US State Department announced on the eve that the meeting in Istanbul will be devoted solely to issues of relations between the two states. Russia's war against Ukraine will not be discussed.
