The US State Department has announced that the next meeting between representatives of the United States and Russia, scheduled for April 10 in Istanbul, will be held at the level of representatives of foreign policy agencies and will be devoted solely to issues of relations between the two countries. This was stated by US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce during a briefing on April 8, reports UNN.

According to her, the US and Russian delegations will meet for the second time in Istanbul to try to make progress in further stabilizing the activities of bilateral missions.
"There are no political or security issues on the agenda, and Ukraine is not on the agenda - absolutely not. These negotiations are focused solely on the activities of our embassy, and not on the normalization of bilateral relations in general, which can only happen, as we have noted, when there is peace between Russia and Ukraine," the State Department spokeswoman stressed.
