Svitolina closed out the first game in half an hour. Uchujima was the first to break at 1-1, but lost the next five games in a row - 6-2 in favor of Elina.
Svitolina started the second game with a break, and then consolidated her advantage on her own serve, leading 3-0. Uchujima avoided a “dry” defeat in the second set, playing one game at 0:5.
The Ukrainian closed out the match on her next serve and after 62 minutes on the court is heading to the round of 16.
