Ukraine proposed a joint Drone Deal to the EU to protect the skies

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Ukraine's readiness to protect EU airspace with its own drones. Kyiv proposes that Brussels conclude a Drone Deal and attract billions in investment.
Ukraine is interested in concluding a Drone Deal with the European Union and is ready to contribute to the protection of European skies with its own drones and technologies. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha during a visit to Brussels, UNN reports.

According to the Foreign Minister, Ukraine views cooperation with the EU in the field of unmanned technologies as one of the key areas of defense partnership.
"Ukraine is interested in concluding a Drone Deal with the EU. We are also ready to contribute to the protection of EU skies with our drones and technologies,"
The Minister also stated the need to strengthen defense cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, particularly within the framework of the SAFE and EDIP programs.
Against this backdrop, the EU is continuing to form joint initiatives in the field of drones. Specifically, on May 5, the European Commission announced the launch of the selection process for the founders of the EU-Ukraine Drone Alliance, which is intended to unite Ukrainian and European companies and developers in the field of drone technologies.
Furthermore, the European Union is discussing the possibility of financing the procurement of Ukrainian drones within the framework of new defense programs. According to European media reports, one of the support packages could involve billions in investments in the production of Ukrainian drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that 20 states are already working with Ukraine on individual Drone Deals. According to him, some of these agreements are currently in the preparation stage for signing.
