Ukraine manages to return 66 bodies of fallen defenders

Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 66 defenders. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will ensure the transportation of the bodies and remains to specialized institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts to identify the victims.
The bodies of 66 Ukrainian defenders were returned to the government-controlled territory today, UNN reports citing the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

According to the Coordination Headquarters, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialized institutions for transfer to law enforcement officials and forensic experts to identify the victims.

The event was organized by the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in cooperation with the Joint Center at the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Central Military Command), the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy Region, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, and other representatives of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
"We are grateful for the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross and personally the head of the ICRC delegation, Jurg Eglin," the Coordination Center added.
