Ukraine has applied sanctions against Russians and companies supporting the Russian military-industrial complex: who is under restrictions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees enacting the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine regarding the application of sanctions against Russians and companies that supply products for the Russian military-industrial complex, as well as the extension of restrictive measures that were set to expire, UNN reports with reference to the Office of the President.

Details

According to the OP, sanctions against 13 individuals and 21 legal entities have been extended. Sanctions against them were applied in 2023. Four enterprises from that package have ceased their illegal activities.

Ukraine has extended restrictive measures against Irina Babakova, Natalia Selivanova, and Vadim Giner, who are associated with the activities in Ukraine of the financial-industrial group "VS Group Management" LLC, created by sanctioned Russian citizens – representatives of the former "Luzhniki" criminal group Alexander Babakov, Mikhail Voevodin, and Evgeniy Giner.

The second decree applies sanctions to 32 Russian companies and 34 Russians, most of whom are directors and founders of these enterprises. Among them are companies involved in the supply of goods for S-300 and S-400 systems, "Topol", "Yars", and "Iskander" ballistic missiles, gunpowder, rocket fuel, and ammunition components.

Also under sanctions are Russian enterprises that produce electronic intelligence equipment, aeronautical carriers for special equipment, and companies included in the supply chains of high-precision industrial equipment and electronic components bypassing sanctions.

In particular, this list includes individuals who tried to organize the lifting of American sanctions from Russia and soften the position of the European Union.

"We continue systematic work to identify key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. The imposition of sanctions against such companies significantly complicates their international commercial activities, access to technology, financing, and global supply chains. Every sanction decision means fewer opportunities for the production of Russian missiles and drones that the enemy uses against Ukraine," noted Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Advisor – Commissioner of the President on Sanctions Policy.

Ukraine, as always, will transfer all necessary information to partners for full synchronization of sanctions in international jurisdictions.
