Ukraine exposes scheme to sell “trophy” weapons: several people arrested

The SBU and the National Police detained a group of people involved in the illegal sale of weapons and ammunition. The SBU seized improvised explosive devices, plastid, TNT and combat grenades from the suspects.
The National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine detained dealers who sold "trophy" weapons, ammunition and explosives, the National Police reported on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"Law enforcement officers prevented attempts to illegally sell weapons and ammunition in different regions of Ukraine. As a result of complex measures, improvised explosive devices with plastid and TNT, as well as combat grenades, were seized from the offenders," the National Police said on Telegram.
As of now, five defendants have been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
The offenders face up to seven years in prison.
