Police are establishing the circumstances of an accident at the Zaporizhzhia State Circus.

The situation, as stated, occurred during the performance of a gymnastic routine. "Two gymnasts - a 15-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl - fell from a 3-meter height and fell into the arena. As a result of the fall, the children were injured," the report says.

"The police found out that around 18:00 during a performance in the city circus, the performers of the gymnastic program lost their grip on the rope and fell from a 3-meter height," the police said.

On April 27, police received a report that two minors had been taken to the intensive care unit of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Children's Hospital. "Both of them suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of the fall. The children are currently in the hospital, their lives are not in danger," the police said.

The condition of the children gymnasts who fell from a three-meter height during a performance at a circus in Zaporizhzhia is closer to moderate, the director of the medical institution Yuriy Borzenko told Suspilne.

"They are conscious. They are in intensive care, but we put them there just in case. The girl has a concussion, she complains of headaches, and the boy has two broken feet. There are no internal injuries," Borzenko said.

Investigators registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 271 (Violation of the requirements of labor protection legislation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
