U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to launch new strikes against Iran over violations of the agreement. He also declared that the U.S. would become the guardians of the Strait of Hormuz and expects payment for this.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated: "we are going to hit them very hard," criticizing Iran for its inability to reach a deal, while also indicating that the U.S. would become the "guardians" of the Strait of Hormuz, reports UNN citing CNN.

"We hit them very hard last night. Every time they launch a drone, we hit them very hard. But we had a deal. What nobody knows is that we had a deal. It was a ready-made deal, and then they broke it. They always break it. We had 10 deals with these people, so we are just going to hit them very hard," he said in a telephone interview with Fox News.
Trump stated that in addition to resuming attacks, the U.S. would become the "guardians" of the Strait of Hormuz.
"Now we will guard it, and we will be paid for it," he said.
Trump stated that he expects payment for guarding the Strait of Hormuz because "we just want to be compensated for all of this, for putting our people in danger."
His comments came after U.S. military forces increased the number of strikes against Iran over the weekend.
