Options for action, according to the publication, include intensifying airstrikes, sending ground forces to seize Iranian islands near the Strait of Hormuz, and bombing a fortified facility that may be used for secret nuclear work.
On Tuesday evening, Trump held a meeting in the Situation Room to discuss the potential seizure of Kharg Island and other territories along the Strait of Hormuz using U.S. troops, as well as the potential bombing of a tunnel complex on Mount Pikax, a facility linked to nuclear activities that the U.S. has not yet attacked. Expanding airstrikes to more targets in Iran, including energy facilities, also remains possible, the publication indicates.
