Donald Trump thanked the Secret Service and law enforcement for their quick response to the shooting during his rally in Pennsylvania. He said he was shot in the ear. The Republican confirmed the deaths of one rally participant and the suspected shooter, CNN writes, UNN reports.

"I was hit by a bullet that pierced the top of my right ear. I immediately realized something was wrong. I heard a whistling sound, gunshots and immediately felt the bullet piercing my skin. There was heavy bleeding, and then I realized what was happening," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The former president expressed his condolences to the family of the person killed at the rally and to the relatives of the participant who was seriously injured.
"It's unbelievable that this could happen in our country. At this point, nothing is known about the shooter, who is now dead," Trump added.
