The risk of myocarditis increases 6.1 times after vaccination with Pfizer or Moderna: Golubovska on the study
Kyiv • UNN
After vaccination with Pfizer and Moderna, the risk of myocarditis increases by 6.1 times. A study with 99 million participants revealed a link between mRNA vaccines and a number of side effects.
After vaccination against COVID-19 with Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, the risk of a number of diseases may increase. In particular, the risk of myocarditis may increase by 6.1 times, reports UNN.
The chief infectious disease specialist of Ukraine, Honored Doctor, Professor Olga Golubovska, refers to a large-scale international study involving 99 million people.
In the study, the authors focused on the three most commonly used vaccines - Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2), Moderna (mRNA-1273) and Oxford/Astra Zeneca/Serum Institute of India (ChAdOx1). In total, during the study period, 183,559,462 doses of BNT162b2, 36,178,442 doses of mRNA-1273 and 23,093,399 doses of ChAdOx1 were administered in the participating centers.
The aim of this study was to assess the risk of adverse events of special interest (AESI) after vaccination against COVID-19. According to the results of the study:
- the risk of myocarditis after mRNA injection increased 6.1 times;
- the risk of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis after mRNA injection increased 3.78 times;
- the risk of sinus thrombosis increased 3.23 times after injection of a vector vaccine;
- the risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome increases 2.49 times after injection of a vector vaccine.
Fatal outcomes (death) from heart lesions are 9.6%. And this seems to be more than from such complications from the heart during the illness
Golubovska recalled that the Astra Zeneca vaccine was ultimately banned for use in April last year. In addition, back in 2021, she spoke about scientific studies establishing a causal relationship between the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and severe thrombotic complications.

A study by British scientists has shown that Covid-19 can significantly accelerate brain aging, causing cognitive impairments equivalent to twenty years of natural aging.
