The Ministry of Health is discussing the possibility of adding the flu vaccine to the mandatory vaccination schedule. Currently, more than 100,000 Ukrainians get sick with SARS and influenza every week.
The issue of introducing the influenza vaccine into the mandatory vaccination schedule is being discussed in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the national immunization program of the Ministry of Health, Oleksandr Zaika, during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.
In fact, the issue of adding the influenza vaccine to the mandatory vaccination schedule is a controversial one, and it is being discussed. It directly depends on how high the coverage of traditional mandatory vaccinations is in a given country. Now we see that in recent years, the level of coverage of these traditional and compulsory vaccinations has been growing
According to him, we can talk about the introduction of new vaccines into the calendar.
But what kind of vaccines they will be - this will be told to us by the national technical group of experts on immunization, and we will make such decisions, introduce new vaccines, using, of course, scientific data... The issue of vaccination and its introduction as mandatory is also being considered, and I hope that this flu vaccination will also appear in the calendar. Now it is recommended
