The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov met with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute scientists to discuss software, unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare and satellite innovations for military use, considering the possibilities of their contracting and deployment.

Innovations in software, UAVs, electronic warfare, satellite use - discussed in detail with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute scientists their proposals for success at the front. Regarding software and satellite technologies, I asked my colleagues to collect all the ideas and developments of students and scientists. We will consider some of the proposals and potentially be able to contract them and put them into service.

He noted that Ukraine badly needs drones of both tactical and strategic level.
"We will consider the proposals, help to find them, and are ready to purchase the necessary components," he added.
The Defense Minister, together with the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry, Oleksandr Kamyshyn, invited several young scientists to attend the US arms manufacturers' forum in December.
"We are ready to cooperate further, we need new technological ideas and solutions to win," Umerov wrote.
