The Kremlin is silent on traces of torture on terror suspects

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not answer the question about possible torture of the suspects in the Crocus City Hall attack. This was reported by CNN and UNN.

A court hearing is underway in Moscow against four alleged perpetrators of a terrorist attack in the Moscow suburbs that killed at least 137 people.  

The video from the court shows that the defendants have visible signs of violence: bruises, swollen face, bandaged head with blood, one of them is in a wheelchair and with his eyes closed." Earlier, videos and photos testifying to the torture were posted online. What happened to them and how can you comment on this?

But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on this question.

During a telephone conversation with journalists on Monday, Peskov was asked: "How can you explain the fact that ISIS was not mentioned by officials among the versions of this terrorist attack?"

A Kremlin spokesperson replied that "the investigation is ongoing," but "no coherent version has been announced yet, only preliminary data is being discussed.

Peskov was commenting on the claim of responsibility made on Saturday by the ISIS-affiliated Amaq news agency:

An investigation is underway. I repeat, we need to wait for information from our official law enforcement agencies that are dealing with this case
