The intensity of hostilities in the Zaporizhzhya sector is decreasing, but it is not related to the situation in Kursk - Likhova
Kyiv • UNN
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, no Russian assault actions were recorded in the last three days. There is a decrease in the number of attacks, but the activity of enemy aircraft remains high.
The spokesman for the Tavria Operational Group of troops, Dmytro Lykhoviy, reported a decrease in the intensity of hostilities in the Zaporizhzhya sector, where no Russian assault actions have been recorded over the past three days. He said this during a telethon, UNN reports.
The operational situation in the Tavria military area is characterized by a decrease in the intensity of hostilities. As far as Zaporizhzhia is concerned, there have been no Russian assault actions over the past three days
In his opinion, this is a reason to pay attention, because the area is large and it is obvious that “the Russians have not gone anywhere from here,” but there have been zero assault actions in three days and there is no significant activity there today either. He says that they will keep an eye on the situation for now, because it is “atypical for a large recent period.
Some activity, if you can call it that, is maintained in the Prydniprovsky sector, where the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. However, yesterday there was only one enemy attack on the positions of our units near the village of Krynky on the Dnipro riverbank
According to him, they were fruitless and no losses of positions were allowed.
I would not link these events to the Kursk operation in any way, because the Russians do not have the resources to conduct effective offensives on several fronts at the same time. There are certain reasons to say that, for example, the number of artillery attacks on our positions is also partially reduced. It does not look like a lull, but, for example, over the past day, 280 Russian attacks on our positions were counted, using approximately 1,450 rounds of ammunition. And this is hundreds or half a thousand less ammunition, for example, than it was a month ago
Likhoviy adds that enemy aviation remains active. The enemy carried out 6 air strikes and launched 6 guided bombs and 60 unguided missiles at both Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.
Despite all this, our troops are inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Thus, yesterday the Russian army was reduced by 69 people, including irreversible and sanitary losses, as well as by 25 pieces of weapons and military equipment. Among them are one armored combat vehicle, one RPMC-1 Ulybka radio direction finding meteorological complex, four artillery systems, including one S-60 anti-aircraft missile system, 10 vehicles, 5 reconnaissance UAVs, 3 boats and one jet ski
Recall
The redeployment of Russian troops to Kursk is gradual and not in significant numbers, which will affect the front in the short or medium term.
