General Staff reported 231 engagements in a day: the two hottest fronts

Over the past day, there were 231 combat engagements, including 35 on the Kostiantynivka front and 20 on the Pokrovsk front. Russia carried out 95 airstrikes and 3,110 shelling attacks.
Up to a quarter of the 231 battles on the front over the past day took place in two directions — Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on August 24, UNN writes.
A total of 231 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the aggressor carried out 95 airstrikes using 299 guided aerial bombs, deployed 10,747 kamikaze drones for attacks, and carried out 3,110 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas, including 29 using multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy shelled the populated areas of Neskuchne, Bachivsk, Rohizne, Ulanove, Sopych, Korenok, Shpyl, Budky, Volfyne, and Yastrubshchyna in Sumy region, as well as Kryvusha and Semenivka in Chernihiv region. The enemy conducted an airstrike on the area near the populated area of Tolstodubove.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck eight areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, six command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles, five artillery assets, one command post, one communications hub, two multiple launch rocket systems, and one radar station of the Russian invaders.
Situation by direction
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, our defenders halted six enemy assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out one airstrike, dropping one aerial bomb, and conducted 95 shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled nine enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance toward Okhrimivka, Symynivka, Kruhle, Zarubynka, and in the area of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted 16 offensive actions toward Radkivka and Kupiansk.
Attempts to breach our defenses were repelled in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers attacked 14 times toward the populated areas of Stepove, Chervonyi Stav, Druzheliubivka, Novyi Myr, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out eight assault actions in the areas of the populated areas of Ozerne, Kryva Luka, and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out one offensive action toward Yurkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 35 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted assault actions in the areas of the populated areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Toretske, Sofiivka, and Dovha Balka, and toward the populated areas of Stepanivka, Pavlivka, Rusyn Yar, and Vilne.
The enemy carried out twenty attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance toward the populated areas of Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Svitle, Serhiivka, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Matiasheve, and Novopavlivka, and in the areas of the populated areas of Dorozhnie and Udachne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders carried out one attack toward Novе Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked the positions of our defenders six times. The enemy attempted to advance toward the populated areas of Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, and Hirke, and in the areas of the populated areas of Zaliznychne and Tsvitkove.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders halted two attempts by the enemy to advance toward Pavlivka and Novoandriivka.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy conducted no offensive actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
