The government has approved a pilot project to restore hydroelectric power plants damaged by Russian shelling. Design and construction of the facilities will take place without obtaining urban planning conditions and other permits.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a pilot project to restore hydroelectric power plants damaged by Russian shelling. In particular, the design and construction of hydropower facilities will be carried out without obtaining urban planning conditions, without researching archaeological heritage sites, obtaining a report on the results of the construction project examination, etc.

This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, UNN reports.

The proposal of the Ministry of Energy and the private joint-stock company Ukrhydroenergo to implement a pilot project within two years to restore the hydropower facilities of the critical infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector of the private joint-stock company Ukrhydroenergo destroyed or damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation

- Melnychuk said. 

He noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procedure for implementing a pilot project that will optimize the timeframe for restoring hydropower facilities destroyed or damaged by Russian shelling.

In accordance with the procedure, in order to optimize the timeframe for the restoration of destroyed or damaged hydropower facilities, design and survey and construction work may be carried out simultaneously.

The design and construction of hydropower facilities will be carried out without obtaining urban planning conditions and restrictions on land development, without researching archaeological heritage sites, obtaining a report on the results of the construction project examination, obtaining the right to carry out construction work, without approval from the State Water Agency and the State Geological Survey, without using the Unified State Electronic System in the field of construction and registration of property rights to cultural heritage sites.
