Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Brodsky visits Kyiv Institute of Forensic Expertise to examine wreckage of Russian missiles and UAVs

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky was able to see the wreckage of Russian missiles and drones with his own eyes. He also praised the work of experts from Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. The details of the Israeli diplomat's visit to this institution were reported by Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, according to UNN.

I showed Mr. Ambassador parts and fragments of Russian missiles and UAVs, which are being examined by the experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. Our task is to identify weapons, study their technical characteristics and components,

Ruvin said.

Also, according to him, it was about the examination of documents, computer and technical expertise. In particular, dozens of phones of the Russian occupiers. Ruvin told Brodsky that the gadgets arrive in an unusable condition. But the experts still read all the necessary information from them and transfer the data to law enforcement agencies.

Another area of expert work that the Israeli ambassador got acquainted with is the identification of Russian war criminals. "An important area is the identification of a person by appearance (portrait examination). Such studies are conducted to identify Russian military personnel who committed crimes in Ukraine. In addition, we carry out portrait examinations to verify the identity of Ukrainian prisoners of war and further work on the return of our defenders to the territory of Ukraine," Ruvin added.

He emphasized that despite the challenges of today, the experts of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise perform all types of forensic, economic, engineering and commodity research, in total - more than 95 areas.

Michael Brodsky personally talked to the experts at their workplaces and emphasized that cooperation with Ukraine in the field of forensic examination is very relevant.

"The work of the Institute and the level of professionalism of your experts are impressive. Expert activity has always been important, but in times of war, what experts do is invaluable. This will serve Ukraine for many years. I wish you only inspiration and further professional development! It is important for us to exchange experience. Yours is unique, so Israel will be interested in learning from it. We must stick together because we share a very similar fate. Unfortunately, we are going through difficult challenges and a difficult period of history. At the same time, I am sure that everything will be fine, we will win!" Michael Brodsky shared his impressions of his visit to KIISE.
