The first photo of a Ukrainian IFV with the Spanish Guardian 30 module has appeared online. The system features digital fire control and a panoramic sight.
The first photo of a BMP-1 or BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle equipped with the Spanish Guardian 30 remote-controlled weapon station has appeared online. The image was released by the 146th Separate Repair and Restoration Regiment, Defence Express reports, according to UNN.

The supply of such modules to Ukraine was previously announced back in May 2025, but until now, their use had not been publicly confirmed.
According to the publication, the combat vehicle may have been in the stage of transportation or preparation for operation, so its participation in combat actions is currently unconfirmed. At the same time, the appearance of the photo is the first evidence that Guardian 30 modules have already been integrated into Ukrainian armored vehicles.
Advantages of the armament
The Guardian 30 is a modern weapon station from the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering. It is equipped with a digital fire control system and a panoramic sight, and the base version can utilize a 30mm Mk 44 Bushmaster II cannon and Spike anti-tank missiles.
However, the Ukrainian version likely received different armament. Experts note that the Bushmaster cannon is not visible in the released photo, and Spike missiles were unlikely to have been supplied due to restrictions on the re-export of Israeli weaponry. It is currently unknown which specific anti-tank missile system is installed on the Ukrainian variant of the Guardian 30.
