The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported an increase in Russian forces in Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion. According to him, Russia has an advantage in equipment, in particular, the number of tanks has doubled and artillery has tripled.

According to Syrsky, at the beginning of the invasion, Russia had 100,000 soldiers, now the number has increased to 520,000. By the end of this year, Russia plans to have 690,000 .

“When it comes to technology, the ratio is 1:2 or 1:3 in their favor,” Syrsky said. 

The Commander-in-Chief pointed out that since 2022, the number of Russian tanks has “doubled” from 1,700 to 3,500. The number of artillery systems has tripled, and the number of armored personnel carriers has increased from 4,500 to 8,900. “The enemy has a significant advantage in forces and means,” Syrsky said. 

“That's why the issue of supply and quality comes to the forefront for us,” the Commander-in-Chief added.
