Andrii Sybiha received notes from influential states requesting not to strike the RF on May 9. The Foreign Minister called this a recognition of Ukraine's combat capabilities.

Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha reported that in recent years he has received diplomatic notes from influential states requesting not to launch strikes on Russia during the May 9 parade, UNN reports.
"Over the past years, I have collected a small collection of diplomatic notes from very influential states with appeals not to launch strikes on Russia during the May 9 parade when their leaders were present there,"
According to the minister, such appeals are evidence of the recognition of Ukrainian capabilities.
"This is a recognition of our capabilities and another signal: do not mess with Ukraine,"

In 2026, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy allowed the May 9 parade to be held in Moscow by signing a corresponding decree.
