Sweden joins drone coalition to support Ukraine

Sweden has joined a coalition with other countries to support Ukraine by jointly purchasing drones to protect it from Russian attacks.
Sweden, along with other countries, will support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through joint purchases of drones. This was reported on Thursday by the Swedish Ministry of Defense , UNN reported.
The program can also include systematic training.
It is reported that on July 10, the country's Defense Minister Paul Johnson signed the relevant agreement on behalf of Sweden.
"Drones have become an important part of modern warfare and are of great importance for Ukraine to be able to stop Russian attacks, especially on the ground, and to gather information on the battlefield. Together with other countries, we will support Ukraine in the Drone Coalition in procuring, supplying and training drone pilots," Mr. Johnson said.
In addition to Sweden, the coalition includes Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom. It is jointly led by Latvia and the United Kingdom.
Earlier, Sweden allocated 10 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of drones.
