Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna said that Ukraine could join the EU faster than other candidate countries. This is possible due to 10 years of integration into the free trade area and EU markets.

For Ukraine, the path to joining the EU will definitely be shorter, as the country has been part of the free trade zone for 10 years and is integrated into all EU markets. This was reported by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, according to a UNN correspondent .

Details

This is a fairly realistic timeframe, and there have already been statements by the President of the European Council (Charles Michel - ed.) that by 2030 all countries, i.e. 8 countries, will join the EU. For Ukraine, this path will definitely be shorter, because Ukraine has been part of the free trade zone for 10 years. We are already integrated into virtually all EU markets, and a lot depends on how quickly we can integrate our legal system and the rules that allow us to be in the market. And I am sure that a few years is the maximum threshold that we need to do our job

 ,” Stefanishyna said.
