Specialized walls, trampolines, rehabilitation bars: the winners of the Time to Act, Ukraine contest equipped a center for children with disabilities

The Obodiv Inclusive Resource Center in Vinnytsia Oblast has received a grant from the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation to provide specialized equipment for children with disabilities. Now the center has therapeutic equipment such as trampolines and rehabilitation bars, which are used by 59 registered children, including 5 children from among the IDPs.

The Obodiv Inclusive Resource Center (Vinnytsia region) has received a grant from the MHP-Community Charitable Foundation to provide functional equipment for a physical therapy room, UNN reports .

Almost UAH 100 thousand was allocated to the MHP-Community Foundation as part of the Time to Act, Ukraine project. These funds were used to purchase and install specialized walls, trampolines, rehabilitation bars, a Swedish wall and much more - all for the convenience and comfort of the children who stay here

This institution was established in 2022. Currently, 59 children are registered at the IRC, 5 of whom are IDPs (from Kherson and Donetsk regions and from Hostomel). The center is staffed by a speech therapist, a practical psychologist, a teacher, a defectologist, and a rehabilitation teacher. The center is located in the premises of a local school, where there used to be classrooms. Now these rooms have been turned into offices. One of them is a physical therapy room. It is equipped according to all the rules of such institutions.

We will add The Time to Act, Ukraine contest has been running for four years in a row. A record number of applications for participation in the competition was submitted this year - 837. "This year, initiatives from charitable and public organizations were actively submitted - 151 projects. Many proposals are aimed at developing public spaces, educational and medical projects, and infrastructure in small towns and villages. The experts of the competition committee also noted initiatives aimed at rehabilitating and preserving traditions and cultural heritage," adds Volodymyr Panchenko, head of national projects at the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation.
 The budget of the competition is almost UAH 13 million. The grant competition covers 12 regions of Ukraine. Reference MHP-Gromada is a Ukrainian charitable foundation that started its operations in 2015. Its main mission is the integrated development of communities. The geography of its activities includes 12 regions of Ukraine: more than 700 towns and villages. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Foundation has been systematically supporting people in the war zone, Ukrainian defenders and rescuers, communities, hospitals and maternity homes, charitable institutions that care for orphans and the elderly, as well as people who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the war.
