September and October may pass without power outages - Kudrytskyi
Kyiv • UNN
The head of NPC Ukrenergo said that there are good chances of going through the fall months with minimal or no power outages. The situation may improve when new generating facilities come out of repair.
In September and October, Ukraine has a fairly good chance of either going through this period with minimal power outages or no outages at all, as the autumn months are expected to be much lighter than, for example, July. This was stated by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, during a briefing, UNN reports.
Details
If we put aside the shelling and some climatic weather anomalies that we have seen recently, it really looks like the situation will gradually improve, because new generating facilities will be coming out of repair as planned. I have already said that in September and October we have a fairly good chance of either going through this period with minimal outages or no outages at all. So, indeed, these autumn months are expected to be much easier than, for example, July, which is already ending and was the hardest month of the summer so far
Recall
If there are no new, large-scale damages to power plants, the situation in the power system will tend to improve in the next few weeks.
