The Security Service of Ukraine struck a Russian oil pumping station near the Russian city of Perm, more than 1,500 km from Ukraine, the SBU reported on Wednesday, UNN writes.

Fulfilling the tasks set by the President of Ukraine, tonight specialists from the SBU's Special Operations Center "Alpha" targeted the "Perm" linear production and dispatch station (LPDS), located more than 1,500 km from the border with Ukraine,

- the SBU reported.

As indicated, it belongs to JSC "Transneft" and is a strategically important hub of the Russian Federation's main oil transport system. Through the station, oil is distributed in four directions, including to the Perm Refinery.

"As a result of the SBU drone attack, a large-scale fire broke out at the oil pumping station. According to preliminary information, almost all oil storage tanks are on fire," the report says.

"The SBU is systematically reducing Russia's export potential and undermining its economic foundation, which finances the war against Ukraine. Striking oil logistics creates a resource deficit for the Russian military-industrial complex, disrupts fuel supply chains for the army, and forces the enemy to spend significant resources on restoring and protecting oil infrastructure," noted the Acting Head of the SBU, Yevhenii Khmara.
