Russians in the occupied territories exploit the labor of people with disabilities - The Resistance Center
Kyiv • UNN
Russians in the occupied territories of Ukraine are exploiting people with disabilities by forcing them to work overtime without consent and proper compensation, violating their fundamental rights.
Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine use the labor of people with disabilities as slave labor, forcing them to work overtime. UNN reports this with reference to the Center for National Resistance.
Often people with disabilities are forced to work overtime without their consent. Moreover, the occupiers use such people on weekends, and there is certainly no question of double payment for the hours worked,
Details
It is noted that this is not only a violation of the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, but also an openly humanitarian crisis that threatens their physical and mental health.
This category of people needs a special approach and support from society, but the occupation authorities think by Soviet standards. Therefore, the intervention of international NGOs and humanitarian agencies to protect the rights of people with disabilities in the temporarily occupied territories is an immediate necessity. Such practices must be stopped, and the perpetrators must be brought to justice before an international court for crimes against humanity,
Recall
The humanitarian crisis in the social and economic spheres is deepening in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region due to the constant growth of unemployment, high prices for consumer goods, delays in the payment of wages, and non-operational kindergartens.
