At night and in the morning, Russians shelled 10 communities in Sumy region. Forty-seven explosions were recorded, including air strikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks.
At night and in the morning of August 23, Russian troops fired 17 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 47 explosions were recorded. The Russian army attacked with KABs and FPV drones. This was reported by the Sumy RMA, according to UNN.

Reportedly, Yunakivska, Khotynska, Bilopilska, Krasnopilska, Novoslobidska, Berezivska, Hlukhivska, Esmanska, Sveska, Yampilska communities were subjected to hostile attacks.

- Yampil community: an air strike was recorded (3 explosions).
- Sveska community: the enemy conducted an air strike (3 explosions).
- Krasnopilska community: Russians attacked with artillery (23 explosions) and dropped explosive devices from a UAV (VOG) (6 explosions).
- Berezivska community: an air strike was carried out (1 explosion).
- Esman community: an air strike was recorded (1 explosion).
- Hlukhiv community: FPV drones struck (4 explosions).
- Bilopilska community: there was an air strike (1 explosion).
- Khotyn community: the enemy conducted an air strike (1 explosion).
- Yunakivska community: an air strike was carried out (1 explosion).
