Russia fails to extinguish fire at oil depot in Rostov region

The fire at the oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, attacked by Ukrainian drones, continues. Three fire trains have been deployed, and a high alert regime has been introduced, but there is no threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings.
As of 20:00 on August 18, firefighting continues at the oil depot of the Kavkaz plant in Proletarsk, Rostov Region, which was attacked by Ukrainian kamikaze drones on Sunday night. Three fire trains were used to extinguish the fire. This was reported by the Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev in Telegram, cited by the news agency UNN.

“The fire at the industrial warehouse in Proletarsk is being extinguished. All the necessary forces and means are involved, including three fire trains,” Golubev wrote.
The governor noted that his deputy is working on the spot to coordinate the actions of all services. A high alert regime was introduced in Proletarsky district.
Golubev assured that there was no threat of the fire spreading to residential buildings and neighboring properties.
