The Russian Defense Ministry announced the downing of 45 UAVs over Russian territory, including 11 over the Moscow region. The mayor of Moscow called it one of the largest attempts to attack the capital.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced a massive attack by 11 drones on Moscow on the night of August 21. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that it was "one of the largest" attempts to attack the Russian capital. This was reported by UNN.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that at night Russian air defense allegedly shot down 45 UAVs over Russian territory.
"11 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Moscow region, another 23 UAVs were destroyed over the Bryansk region, 6 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, 3 UAVs were destroyed over the Kaluga region and 2 UAVs were destroyed over the Kursk region," the ministry said.
Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called the attack one of "the largest attempts to attack Moscow with drones ever.
Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev also said that the air defense forces allegedly destroyed the missile over the region, and no casualties were reported.
Also at night, the authorities of Tula region reported 2 downed UAVs.

Sources of UNN reported that on the night of August 18, as a result of a Ukrainian intelligence operation, an oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, which worked for the enemy military-industrial complex and supported the activities of the Russian occupation forces, was hit.
