A Robinson helicopter was found lying on its side near the Maly Semyachik volcano in Kamchatka. An investigation into the accident has been launched, and the causes and circumstances are being established.
In Russia, near the Maly Semyachik volcano, at a distance of about 130 km from the city of Petropalovsk-Kamchatsky, a Robinson helicopter was found lying on the side of one of the fuselage sides. An investigative inspection has been organized into the accident on the grounds of a crime under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport).
"The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established. Information about any damage to the vessel and the number of victims is being clarified. Investigators and forensic scientists of the Investigation Department are conducting a set of verification measures aimed at establishing the circumstances of the incident," the department's Telegram channel said.
Russian media reported that there was only one pilot on board the helicopter and he was not injured.
