The State Agency for Reconstruction modernized 9 checkpoints in Odesa region. Buildings and roads have been repaired, new equipment installed, and landscaping carried out to increase throughput.
In Odesa region, 9 border crossing points were modernized. In particular, it is about restoring the road surface, repairing restrooms and landscaping. This was stated by the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, UNN reports.

In Odesa region, we are modernizing 9 border crossing points. These are Starokozache - Tudora, Tabaky - Myrne, Reni - Giurgiulesti, Lisne - Seits, August 1 - Basarabianka, Maloyaroslavets 1 - Chadyr Lunga, Novi Troiany - Chadyr Lunga, Vynohradivka - Vulkenesti and Dolynske - Csiszmikioi
It is noted that at the specified checkpoints , administrative buildings and public toilets were repaired, sewage treatment facilities were restored, the road surface was restored, and road markings and signs were installed.
In addition, works were carried out to improve the territory and repair the outdoor lighting systems and install perimeter fences and sanitary modules
The modernization of the checkpoints increased their capacity and improved the conditions for crossing the border for workers and travelers. Joint control was launched at the Reni - Giurgiulesti checkpoint

The State Agency for Reconstruction noted that in March last year, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to transfer 29 checkpoints across the state border to the Reconstruction Agency. The Reconstruction Service in Odesa region is responsible for 9 checkpoints across the state border.
The agency emphasizes that the modernization of checkpoints is extremely important for the economy of the warring country, as most imports and exports are currently transported by road.
