A Kharkiv family of 6 people, including 2 children aged 5 years and 2 months, died when their car hit an anti-tank mine.

Law enforcers have identified all those killed as a result of a civilian car being hit by an enemy munition in Kharkiv region. Four adults and two children aged 5 years and 2 months were killed. This was reported by the police of the Kharkiv region on Monday, UNN reports.

It has now been established that the Kharkiv family was returning from their summer cottage to the city by car. The vehicle hit a TM-62P anti-tank mine. The car exploded and caught fire.

"44- and 53-year-old men, a 64-year-old woman, a 5-year-old boy, a two-month-old girl and their 25-year-old mother were killed," the statement said.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 2 of Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that on July 7 in the evening near the cemetery on a dirt road in the forest near the village of Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv district, a car VAZ-2114 exploded on an enemy anti-tank mine.
