The fire in Ternopil, which was caused by Russian shelling of an industrial facility, was of the highest complexity. The rescuers were suspected of heatstroke when they were extinguishing the fire, as they were working in combat clothing with a heat-reflective suit on top. This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region, Viktor Masley, during a briefing, UNN reports.

“23, as I said, units of special and firefighting equipment and 97 personnel of the State Emergency Service in Ternopil region were involved. The fire was quite complicated, the highest rank was assigned at three in the morning. There were some difficulties for the SES employees, but after emergency medical services provided assistance on the spot, everything is fine, people continue to serve. You know, they were working in suits, in combat clothing, with a heat-reflective suit on top, it was 30 degrees outside, so there were some suspicions of heat stroke
