Protected lands of Tsumanska Pushcha worth UAH 330 million returned to state ownership

The Lutsk District Prosecutor's Office has succeeded in returning 40 hectares of Tsumanska Pushcha land worth UAH 330 million to the state. The plots were illegally transferred into communal ownership and lease, classified as agricultural land.
The protected lands of Tsumanska Pushcha in Volyn region, which cover almost 40 hectares and cost UAH 330 million, have been returned to the state, the Prosecutor General's Office reports, UNN.

Prosecutors established that based on illegal decisions of the authorities and local self-government, the land plots used by the Kivertsi National Nature Park “Tsumanska Pushcha” were unreasonably classified as agricultural land.
They were transferred to communal ownership and later leased to a business entity.
