Zelenskiy held a lengthy meeting to update and detail plans for the production of various types of drones, including UAVs, bombers, reconnaissance drones, and long-range drones for special missions, to meet the changing needs of the frontline.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a several-hour meeting on drones with the military and government officials to update and detail production plans for the current year, UNN reports .
"Together with the military and government officials, we held a nearly three-hour, very specific meeting on drones. We updated and detailed production plans for the current year for all types of drones: FPVs, bombers, reconnaissance drones, as well as long-range drones for special tasks," Zelenskyy said.
In addition, according to the President, they discussed how to ensure the flexibility of our defense industry.
"The needs of the frontline are constantly changing. Our manufacturers must respond to them in a timely manner," Zelensky emphasized.
The Head of State also informed about important decisions to simplify the procurement procedure, import of equipment, increase the production of shells for drones and training of operators.
"The project is to build an integrated electronic warfare control system to protect our soldiers and equipment from Russian drones. The system is already being tested in certain areas. We have planned to scale the project to the entire front," Zelensky summarized.
