Zelenskyy said the US has approved $177 billion in aid to Ukraine, but not all funds and weapons have been received. Ukraine needs an additional 12-15 Patriot air defense systems to protect its skies.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the United States has allocated $177 billion to Ukraine, but part of the aid has not yet been received. He said this during a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, UNN reports.
We did everything we could to get the US to provide funds, at least on paper. Not all of the money and packages have arrived yet, but $177 billion has been rejected. Voted by Congress, accepted by the White House, etc. Half of it came in the form of weapons, but a lot of it did not
He called on Ukrainian communities cooperating with American partners to help spread the word that "funding has already been allocated, but the weapons have not yet arrived.
"If we need 12-15 additional Patriot air defense systems and dozens of others, we need to communicate this. I cannot communicate how many there are already. It is a lot. But we say that 12-15 are needed to close the sky," the President emphasized
