On Sunday, Polish Agriculture Minister Czeslaw Sekerski met with protesters who are blocking truck traffic near the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border. Sekerski wrote about this in the social network X, UNN reports.
Decisions are made in a dialog, so I'm back in Medica. Agrarians know that I will not bring a decision in a suitcase, because in the coalition government we do not conduct responsible policy in this way
The minister reminded that a year ago he was at the Polish-Ukrainian border, talking to protesting farmers, and as a result of the agreement reached, they stopped their protest before the New Year holidays. According to him, he has now come to the border to declare that the government will continue to protect the safety of Polish agricultural products.
Recall
On November 23, Polish farmers started a strike at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. The restrictions apply to trucks, and the farmers say they will allow one truck per hour to enter Ukraine and completely block the exit. The State Border Guard Service suggests that the farmers' protest will last longer than the announced 48 hours.
