Details
Last night in the village of Yasinya in Zakarpattia, a police car caught fire on the territory of the local police station. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire completely destroyed a Nissan Patrol and partially damaged another car, a ZAZ Lanos.
Law enforcement officers found that the arson was deliberate. As a result, thanks to police measures and the use of video surveillance cameras, the suspects were detained a day later - two local residents aged 22 who had no previous problems with the law.
As it turned out, the young men were recruited through social media by Russian special services, who promised them a reward for setting fire to a police car. Following the order, they doused the car with flammable liquid, set it on fire, and even filmed the whole thing. However, after the video was sent to the customers, the promised payment was not received.
Based on the evidence collected, the police detained the suspects. Their actions are classified as intentional destruction of property by arson, which provides for up to 10 years in prison. The investigation is currently underway.
