Police conduct investigative actions in the Kyiv subway regarding the depressurization of the tunnel on the "blue line"

Kyiv police are investigating negligence in the construction and maintenance of a subway tunnel that led to its depressurization and subsequent flooding. Searches are being conducted in public organizations and a private company to identify those responsible.

Today Kyiv law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions in Kyiv Metro, "Metrobud and structural units of the Kyiv City State Administration to identify those responsible for for the damage to the subway tunnel. This was reported by the Kyiv police on Telegram, according to UNN.

Today, December 13, Kyiv police investigators began simultaneous searches in the framework of criminal proceedings under the qualification of "official negligence" (part 2 of article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in the city's municipal institutions and a private enterprise

According to the information from law enforcement officials, the investigation aims to check the integrity of the work performed at the stages of design, construction and operation of the subway tunnel section where where the depressurization recently occurred.  It is also planned to identify those responsible for the flooding of the subway.

To recap

Kyiv has launched alternative routes for ground transportation due to the closure of a part of the blue line of the metro line for tunnel repairs.  In addition, starting December 13, shuttle service will be tested on the Lybidska-Demiivska section to reduce the load on ground transportation.

Also closed are stations and lobbies of the blue line of the Kyiv metro will be used as shelters during an air raid.
