Polish government spokesman Adam Szłapka stated that Poland does not need intermediaries in relations with Ukraine. He also reminded about the Ukraine Recovery Conference URC 2026 in Gdańsk.
Poland does not need the mediation of the European Commission to resolve disputes with Ukraine, although current relations between the countries have become more complicated than before. This was stated by Polish government spokesman Adam Szłapka, reports Onet, writes UNN.

The comment came after European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho stated Brussels' readiness to act as a mediator between Warsaw and Kyiv. She emphasized that the only beneficiary of the current tension is Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
I think we do not need any mediators in Poland's relations with Ukraine. Of course, the situation is more complicated than before. I think it is in the interest of Poland and Ukraine to de-escalate this dispute; we have a lot to do together
Warsaw reminded about the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine
The Polish government spokesman also mentioned the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), which will take place in Gdańsk. According to him, the event could become an important opportunity for developing cooperation between Poland, Ukraine, and other European partners.
The conference will be attended by heads of government, ministers, and heads of international financial institutions. The main topics will be economic and defense support for Ukraine.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced that she would lead the Ukrainian delegation to the conference. Initially, it was expected that Ukraine would be represented at the event by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
