More than 30,000 18-year-old Ukrainians have registered for the eBook program to receive UAH 908 to buy books. More than 15 partner bookstore chains have joined the program.

More than 30 thousand 18-year-old Ukrainians have already registered to receive UAH 908 under the eBook program. More than 15 bookstore chains are partners of the program. This was announced during a government meeting by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, UNN reports.

“We see a huge demand for the new eBook program, which is also part of Winter Support. More than 30 thousand 18-year-old Ukrainians have registered. All of them will receive UAH 908 from the state to buy Ukrainian books. More than 15 bookstore chains are partners of the program. This will promote book publishing and spread the culture of reading among young people,” said Shmyhal.

He also added that 10.3 million Ukrainians have applied for a one-time allowance of one thousand hryvnias under the Winter eHelp program, of which 5 million have already received this assistance from the state.

In addition, in December, payments under the “Warm Winter” program began, for which UAH 3.8 billion was allocated, enabling 600,000 Ukrainians to receive an additional UAH 6.5 thousand each.

On December 16, the Diia app launched the “eBook” program for 18-year-old Ukrainians. The state provides UAH 908 to purchase books in Ukrainian, which must be spent within three months.
