The Odesa Regional Clinical Oncology Center has received a modern Elekta Harmony linear accelerator. The new equipment will enable high-precision radiotherapy for patients from Odesa and neighboring regions.
For the first time in 30 years, the Odesa Antitumor Center has received a new linear accelerator to fight cancer. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper, according to UNN.

Kiper clarified that the Odesa Regional Clinical Anti-Tumor Center received a modern Elekta Harmony linear accelerator as part of the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to support cancer centers, with the support of the Odesa RMA.
"This will allow the institution to reach a new level in treating cancer patients not only from Odesa region, but also from neighboring regions and internally displaced persons.
The new equipment is an innovative solution in the field of radiotherapy that combines precision, individualized approach and efficiency, which are especially important in the fight against cancer. The installation process of the linear accelerator has already begun, and the device will soon be ready for use.
"Elekta Harmony is a necessary step to improve the quality of oncology care for patients. Thanks to high-precision radiotherapy, the center will be able to provide more effective treatment with minimal impact on healthy tissues," he said.
