Rustem Umerov has become a witness in a case concerning the legalization of 460 million UAH during construction near Kyiv. He has already been questioned by NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov has the status of a witness in criminal proceedings regarding the legalization of 460 million UAH in elite construction near Kyiv. This was stated during a briefing by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko, UNN reports.

According to Kryvonos, relevant investigative actions were conducted regarding Umerov.
"We can say that in this case, regarding the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, relevant investigative actions were carried out by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau,"
At the same time, he noted that he could not provide more details.
SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko clarified that Umerov was questioned as part of the investigation.
"We have publicly communicated about the questioning of Mr. Umerov within the framework of the pre-trial investigation,"
According to Klymenko, Umerov currently holds the procedural status of a witness.
"Mr. Umerov's actions were verified, he has been questioned, and currently holds the status of a witness in this specific criminal proceeding,"
