MP accuses Fedorov of covering up corruption clans in the defense procurement market

People's Deputy Maksym Buzhanskyi stated that he does not understand why Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov does not appeal to anti-corruption bodies regarding corruption clans in the ministry. He emphasized that Fedorov was appointed not to cover up these clans.
People's deputies appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense not for him to cover up corruption clans. This was emphasized by People's Deputy Maksym Buzhanskyi, commenting on media materials about procurement machinations in the defense ministry, reports UNN.
He cited a quote from an investigation by journalist Inna Vedernikova of the publication "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia": "Telling about how he has to change the situation in the ministry, resist corruption clans and pressure from court players in the defense procurement market, Fedorov at the political level actually recorded what NABU detectives are currently investigating at the legal level. (Why the minister did not file any statement with either anti-corruption bodies, the prosecutor's office, or the SBU is another question.)"
According to Buzhanskyi, he fully shares the journalist's surprise on this matter.
"I also cannot understand why Fedorov does not file statements with anti-corruption bodies regarding the presence of corruption clans around the Ministry of Defense and their pressure on him. We appointed him Minister of Defense not for him to cover up corruption clans, to be honest," the People's Deputy stated.
