Since the beginning of 2024, more than 9,500 fires have been recorded in Ukraine due to emergency modes of operation of power grids. The fires killed 12 people, including one child, and injured 83.

This was stated by the spokesman for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Khorunzhyi during a briefing on Friday, an UNN correspondent reports.

"Since the beginning of 2024, more than 9,500 fires have occurred as a result of emergency modes of operation of power grids," Khorunzhyi said.
According to him, 311 fires were caused by devices that accumulate electricity, 90 by generators, and more than 103 by gas canisters.
"As for the victims, 12 people were killed, including one child, and 83 were injured, including 5 children," he added.
