American actor Patrick Muldoon, known for his roles in the series "Days of Our Lives" and "Melrose Place," has died at the age of 57. This was reported by Variety, citing his manager, according to UNN.

Muldoon gained popularity for his role as Austin Reed in the daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives," where he starred from 1992 to 1995. He later reprised the role in 2011–2012.

The actor also had a notable role in the series "Saved by the Bell," and later played the antagonist Richard Hart in the popular TV show "Melrose Place."

In addition to his acting career, Muldoon actively worked as a producer. Through his company Storyboard Productions, he was involved in the creation of the films "The Tribes of Palos Verdes," "Arkansas," "Marlowe," "Card Counter," "Horrible," and "Unnecessary."

The last project he worked on was the film "Cockroach," starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, Zazie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin. Two days before his death, Muldoon announced on social media that he was happy to join the filming of the movie in Australia.

His last acting work was the crime thriller "Dirty Hands," which is scheduled to premiere at the end of the month.

Patrick Muldoon is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, his parents, a sister, a niece, and a nephew.
